Merry Christmas for 2006!!

Well folks, its that time again (Well in Australia, not necessarily in Russia) As you know, i'm working today but that isn't going to stop me spreading the Christmas cheer. Today, we have Christmas Clubs at Lingua for which I have a rather killer lesson planned. And failing that, I have Bailey's and Amaretto to mask the event of a defeat.
We have a Christmas/New Years tree and snow outside. So it certainly seems like Christmas although many won't really be celebrating it until Jan 7th next year.
So may I take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very very Merry Christmas. I hope you all get lots of presents, at the very least, a few Quality ones, good food, good company and the kind of cheer that makes this time so special.
I'll speak to you all soon.
Love Matt.

Dear Matt & Sveta,
Today is New Years,s Eve and the weather is trying to break into rain but as at 5p.m. apart from a few sprinkles it's all a no go . Well, the travelling Dowsetts finally arrived in McLean in northern N.S.W. up near Ballina. We received an SMS today to say that all is O.K. at present, the house is very nice and all it needs is a load of furniture to make it seem like home. They covered the 1700-1800 Kilometres without too much drama , apart from a tyre on the trailer shredding itself.
Things are much the same here as usual ,the only excitement was my fitting of a "grey water diverter" on the outlet pipe from the laundry to enable the washing machine rinse to be rerouted outside to water the garden. What started off as a presumed easy job turned into quite an exercise in practice. Well it's done and dusted now so let's hope all goes well when next we do a load of washing.Your Mum & Dad are off to visit Pauline's place tonite whilst Sara will be home having a party with her friends. Nana & I will have a quiet night as opposed to Friday night when about 9p.m. the lady next door appeared on her front verandah to water her plants. I wished her a Happy New Year as Nan & I were sitting outside having a"cleansing ale or three".She said "I'll pop over and join you" and what with nibbles being quickly prepared, coffee eventually being made, another bottle of Chardonnay was opened and next thing it was 1a.m. I think today we have just recovered.
Well It's time to wrap up this missive and wish you both a very happy 2007 .Don't let your hair down too much tonight, but have a great time, give our best wishes to Sveta's folks and we'll bw back in touch in the New Year.
Best wishes from
Granpa & Nana.
Hi Matt & Sveta,
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you both, hope you had a good one. We had a pretty quiet one at our place with your parents & the Meades.Had a couple of wines, not too many & when 12MN came we decided not to pull the poppers as we thought damn it, we would have to clean them up!! I think that shows we are getting OLD!!!
Anyway have a really great year

Thank you all for your New Year and Christmas wishes. I'm glad to hear everyone had such a lovely time. SO i'm sure you are all getting ready to go back to jobs or whatever activities you have chosen (or been given) to keep yourselves occupied during the day. I too have gone back to work and can sympathize. In fact I think you've had more tim eoff than me anyway. Hope you are all well. :) Feel free to comment in new posts so your messages aren't lost when the post disappears off the main screen.
Take care all.
Cheers.
